NLM5 The series has two working modes of real-time reception and timeout sleep , Modifying registers WKMOD by 0 Indicates that it works in real-time receiving mode , by 1 Indicates working in timeout sleep mode .

Real time receiving mode ： NLM The equipment LoRA-A The interface is always in the receiving state , Can receive any preamble length LoRA data .

Timeout sleep mode ： When no operation exceeds the predetermined time , The device enters idle state to save electric energy , If there is no data interaction for a long time

 

Further enter the shutdown state . The shutdown state has the lowest current consumption . In power saving mode , LoRA-A and LoRA-B Will constantly monitor for LoRA Wake up signal , If yes, it will automatically exit the power saving mode and enter the real-time receiving mode for data reception .

NLM5 Series three working states

 

Devices working in timeout sleep mode have three states （ standby 、 Free 、 downtime ）.

Standby mode ： NLM5xx The default state after power on , In this state , NLM5xx Continuous listening LoRA-A and LoRA-B Whether a valid preamble has been received ① The signal （ The time interval is about 10mS）, When receiving, switch to the receiving mode until the data is received .

Idle state ： The device in standby mode runs longer than TIM_IDLE Automatically enter idle state after the specified time . Idle state has low current consumption . In this state , NLM The equipment UART Normal work , LoRA In sleep listening state , Every interval TIM_WUT Conduct a preamble listening for the specified time . When receiving UART Data or LoRA Lead code 、 Or exit the idle state and enter the standby state when the preset timeout acquisition and issuance time interval arrives .

Shutdown state ： The idle device has been running for more than TIM_STOP It will automatically enter the shutdown state after the specified time . The shutdown state has the lowest current consumption . In this state , NLM The equipment UART In power saving state , LoRA In sleep listening state , Every interval TIM_WUT Conduct a preamble listening for the specified time . When receiving UART Data or LoRA Lead code 、 Or exit the shutdown state and enter the standby state when the preset timeout acquisition and issuance time interval arrives . It should be noted that ： The first packet received by the equipment in the shutdown state UART The data will be incomplete , Therefore, incomplete packets will be discarded directly （ Do nothing about ）. When the equipment in idle or shutdown state is awakened by the data receiving event of the digital interface , Process the received data （ forward 、 Storage 、 Execute instructions, etc ）, After processing, it will immediately enter the idle state again .
