Discourse provides a feature to close the topic.

Simply put, DIscourse can be closed if a topic is not used for a long time or for too long.

Close this theme can be automatic or manual.

 

This closing topic mainly affects low-level users. When the user's level is not high and the topic is closed, the user has no way to reply.

For high-level users, this feature will not be restricted. Even if the topic is closed, these users can still reply.

Performance

When the theme is closed, the theme's title signature will display a lock icon.

If you see this icon, the theme has been closed.

Reopen topic

Enter the theme via the configuration options on the right.

For closed topics, you can re-operate to reopen the topic.
