VIM common shortcut keys

As Linux Operations staff , The most commonly used text editor must be Vim , Collect some Vim Common shortcut keys for notes .

Particular attention ,Vim Case sensitive .

Move the cursor

The arrow keys move

h  or  ←  The cursor moves left

l  or  →  The cursor moves right

j  or  ↓  The cursor moves down

k  or  ↑  The cursor moves up

Word movement

w (“word”) Move the cursor one word to the right

b (“back”) The cursor moves one word to the left

e (“end”) Move the cursor to the last letter of the current word

Line beginning and end movement

Like regular expressions

^  Move cursor to the beginning of line

$  Move the cursor to the end of the line

The screen position moves

H (“high”) Move the cursor to the top of the screen

M (“middle”) Move the cursor to the middle of the screen

L (“low”) Move the cursor to the bottom of the screen

Page scrolling

Ctrl-f (“forward”) Page down ( The whole screen )

Ctrl-d (“down”) Turn down half the page ( Half a screen )

Ctrl-b (“backward”) Page up ( The whole screen )

Ctrl-u (“up”) Turn up half the page ( Half a screen )

insert text

a  Insert text... To the right of the cursor

A  Insert text at the end of the line

i  Insert text... To the left of the cursor

I  Insert text at the beginning of the line

o  Insert a new line under the cursor

O  Inserts a new line on the cursor

Modify the text

cw  Delete the right part of the cursor of the current word , Enter edit mode

cc  Replace the current line with an empty line , Enter edit mode

s  Delete the current letter , Enter edit mode

r  Replace current letter , Enter a letter and automatically return to the command mode

yy Copy the current row

'n'yy Copy the current n That's ok , such as 3yy , Copy the current 3 That's ok

p Paste the copied text to the next line

Undo modify

u  Undo last modification

U  Undo all changes to the current line

Ctrl-r  Restore the last modification

Delete text

Delete letters

x  Delete the letter to the right of the cursor

X  Delete the letter to the left of the cursor

Delete words

dw (“delete word”) Delete the right part of the cursor of the current word (cw  Will enter edit mode )

daw (“delete a word”) Delete the whole word where the cursor is located ( Include the space after the word )

diw (“delete inside word”) Delete the whole word where the cursor is located ( Do not include the space after the word )

Delete row

dd  Delete a line

'n'dd Delete n That's ok , such as 2dd Delete two consecutive lines

dt<char>  Delete the current line cursor to the specified letter  <char>
