Why monitor

• Continuous real-time monitoring of the system
• Real time feedback system current status
• Ensure highly reliable operation of the business

How to monitor

• Monitoring tools ：free,vmstat,df,top,ss,iftop...
• The monitoring system ：Zabbix（ Monitoring non containers , Monitoring containers can be cumbersome ）,Open-Falcon（ Monitoring non containers , Xiaomi open source ）,Prometheus

Monitoring what

• Hardware monitoring ： temperature , Hardware failure, etc （prometheus Native does not support , But there are open source agent）;
• System monitoring ：CPU, Memory , Hard disk , Network traffic ,TCP state , Number of processes （prometheus Native support ）;
• Application monitoring ：Nginx,Tomcat,PHP,Mysql,Redis etc. （prometheus Native support ）;
• Log monitoring ： system log , Service log , Access log , Error log （ I won't support it ）;
• Safety monitoring ：WAF, Sensitive file monitoring ;（ I won't support it ）
• API monitor ： Usability , Interface request , response time （prometheus Native support ）;
• Business monitoring ：eg： E-commerce website , How many orders per minute , How many users are registered , How many active users , The effect of promotion activities ;
• Traffic monitoring ： Get user related information according to traffic ,eg： Location of users , Access to a page , Page dwell time, etc .
