DSPE-PEG-PDP is an active phospholipid PEG derivative that can react with free sulfhydryl groups.DSPE (1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine) is a highly hydrophobic 18-carbon phospholipid.On the other hand, the PEG backbone has good hydrophilicity and water solubility.PDP (pyridyl disulfide) functionalized DSPE-PEG can react with free sulfhydryl groups to form disulfide bonds, which can be cleaved by DTT or other disulfide bond reducing reagents.The reaction between PDP and thiol allows the efficient attachment of DSPE-PEG to thiol-containing molecules or particles.
Phospholipids PEG hydrophobic base pyridine (DSPE - PEG - OPSS) can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials with reactive group. Phospholipids (- DSPE) conjugate polyethylene glycol (peg) is a phospholipids and polyethylene glycol (peg)combined with hydrophilic and hydrophobic. PEG modification can improve the solubility and stability, reduce the immunogenicity of protein and peptide. It can also inhibit non-specific combination of charged molecules on the surface modification.
