Addressing and addressing units

Recently, I am learning the principles of computer composition , For addressing 、 Addressing 、 The concept of addressing unit and so on has been relatively vague . Addressing

To facilitate our access to information in memory , We need to number each storage unit , That is, addressing .

After addressing ,CPU You can access the storage unit it represents through the storage unit address , Then, the information is accessed in the storage unit .

Addressing unit

Addressing units are those storage elements with the same address （ notes ： Storage elements are storage elements 0 or 1 The memory unit of , namely 1bit） Constitute a unit .

A common saying is ：

1. Address by byte ： The addressing unit is one byte , Represents an address in the storage body （ In each storage unit ） There is one byte of data .

2. Address by word ： The addressing unit is one word , Represents an address in the storage body （ In each storage unit ） There is one word of data .（ for example , The word length in this computer is 32 position , That is, there is... In an address 32bit The data of ）

As shown in the figure below , In this figure, address by byte , There are... In each storage unit 8bit. If you change to address by word , The word is long 32bit, Then in each unit in the following figure is 32bit data .
