The concept of multi tenancy in cloud management platform
Multi tenancy is a software architecture in which a single software instance can provide services for multiple different user groups . In Cloud Computing , Multi tenancy can also refer to shared hosts , Its server resources will be allocated among different customers . The more resources are shared among tenants , The higher the utilization rate of basic resources , The lower the unit resource cost , The worse the isolation between tenants .
The difference between multi tenant and multi tenant
1、 Different levels of safety control . A multi tenant database stores data from multiple independent tenants , Although safety isolation is set , But the level of security control is still higher than that of single tenant . Because a single tenant has an independent software and hardware environment , The database only stores the data of one tenant , Technically, the possibility of data leakage is eliminated , Single tenant architecture is sometimes more suitable for some industries that need security control and even legal compliance requirements .

Multi tenancy is sharing a database , The tenant's data is both isolated and shared , The system cannot automatically perform independent backup of the enterprise every day .
3、 Control different upgrade times . The system maintenance cost of multi tenancy is low , When upgrading a multi tenant system , Just update once . Maintenance personnel do not need to update every user , It saves a lot of operation and maintenance costs . This is very useful for systems where all customers are doing the same thing . But if the system upgrade time occurs when the enterprise is particularly busy , It is bound to have an impact on enterprise users .
