What is a nondestructive testing device?
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipmentis used to detect, inspect and measure defects, bond integrity and other material conditions without permanently altering or destroying the part or product being inspected.NDT equipment includes a wide variety of instruments and systems.
What does NDT mean?
NDT stands for Non-Destructive Testing.It refers to a series of inspection methods that allow inspectors to evaluate and collect data about a material, system or component without making permanent changes to it.
Why use NDT?
NDT is performed to determine that the parts or materials used are not damaged or malfunctioning and are fit for human use.Test results can show whether a component needs repair or can operate safely.
What are NDTs and their types?
There are many different NDT methods in the industry, each with their own advantages and limitations, but six of the most commonly used are:Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Electromagnetic Testing(ET), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetration Testing (PT) and Visual Testing...

NDT is used in a very wide range of industries such as: Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Energy, Electricity, Nuclear, Transportation and job opportunities are virtually limitless.

It provides reliability ;
It's cost-effective;
It provides a guarantee.
Disadvantages of NDT:
NDT has few disadvantages.Depending on the type of non-destructive testing used on the component, glitches may arise.These can include simple factors such as:
- Parts that need cleaning before and after inspection
- The sensitivity of the inspection is sometimes affected by the finish of the components.
- Sometimes the depth dimension may be missing
- In some NDT methods, only relatively non-porous surfaces can be detected
- Some test methods require electricity
- Some are also affected by changes in permeability
- Some tests are only valid for conductive materials
