Megacli online management raid installation and use steps

1： Download the package

http://www.lsi.com/support/downloads/megaraid/miscellaneous/linux/1.01.39_Linux_Cli.zip

2： Decompress and install

#unzip 1.01.39_Linux_Cli.zip

#rpm -ivh MegaCli-1.01.39-0.i386.rpm

3： Steps to load the hard disk

Environmental Science ：dell R710 System ：cent os5 Number of existing hard disks ：1 block raid situation ：rai0 Hard disk interface ：SAS

Now add a new hard disk ：

1：#/opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli/MegaCli64 -cfgdsply -aALL ( see Raid Card model 、Disk Related information )

#/opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli/MegaCli64 -PDList -aALL ( View physical disks )

2： eliminate foreign Mark

(MegaCli -CfgForeign -Clear [x] -aN|-a0,1,2|-aALL)

#MegaCli -CfgForeign -Clear -aALL

3: Take the physical disk offline / go online

#MegaCli -PDOnline -PhysDrv [32:5] -a0

4: Create an array , Hot standby is not specified

#MegaCli -CfgLdAdd -r0 [32:5] -a0

Set bus to a0 Enclosure Device ID by 32,Slot Number by 5 The hard disk of , Create as raid0

Partition , format , Mount a new hard disk

#/sbin/fdisk -l

#/sbin/fdisk /dev/sdb

#mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb1

#mount /dev/sdb1 /ssd1

View logical drive information

#MegaCli64 -LDPDInfo -aall

#MegaCli64 -LDInfo -L1 -a0

L1: It means Virtual Disk: 1

Delete array

First umount Remove all hard disk partitions in the array to be deleted

Then find the corresponding... In the array to be deleted Virtual Disk Number ,

#MegaCli64 -LDPDInfo -aall

Here for Virtual Disk: 1

#MegaCli -CfgLdDel -L1 -a0

So when you unplug the newly attached hard disk , When the server restarts, it will not be because it cannot be found raid Relevant information and cannot enter the system normally .
