The largest flood detention area in Hebei Province, the flood control project and safety construction project of Luluze and Ningjinbo flood storage and detention area, was held on the 29th.Xingtai City, Hebei Province started the implementation.According to the Hebei Provincial Department of Water Resources, the project is one of the 150 major water conservancy projects deployed and implemented by the State Council, with a total construction period of 36 months.
The Daluze and Ningjinbo flood storage and detention areas, also known as the depression in the middle reaches of the Fuyang River, are located east of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and northeast of Xingtai City, Hebei Province.The depression is the largest flood detention area in Hebei Province and the third largest flood detention area in the country. It is a key flood control project in the Haihe River Basin, with a total area of 2,041 square kilometers.
The flood storage and detention area undertakes the task of storing and detaining floods in the Fuyang River Basin and local waterlogging.The safety of the Beijing-Shanghai railway and alleviating the flood control pressure on the adjacent river system play a very important role.
According to reports, the Daluze and Ningjinbo flood storage and detention areas were opened according to the standard of once in 5 years and designed according to the standard of once in 50 years.The project involves 2 districts and 6 counties in Xingtai City. The main construction contents include the expansion and excavation of the Beili River, the reinforcement of dikes, the reconstruction of bridges and culverts, the maintenance and reinforcement of the Aixinzhuang hub, the new Beichenhai flood control project, the construction of safety zones, and the retreat road.
