Install plugins in containers at runtime

Currently we have built docker images. However, rsserpent alone isn't of any practical use. We need to find a way to mount a requirements.txt into the container's file system, and install these required plugins at runtime.

Another possible approach is to let users build their own image based on the rsserpent image. This approach is technically easier to implement, but requires users to build their own image (which could be a serious problem for non-programmer users).

Add OpenAPI spec and automatic API testing

We can use something like schemathesis to automatically test api endpoints. This test could also be added to .github/workflows/docker.yaml so that we could validate whether the built docker image could run without error.

    build(deps-dev): bump hypothesis from 6.17.4 to 6.21.0

Bumps hypothesis from 6.17.4 to 6.21.0.

    Release notes

    Sourced from hypothesis's releases.

Hypothesis for Python - version 6.21.0

This release introduces strategies for array/tensor libraries adopting the Array API standard (issue #3037). They are available in the hypothesis.extra.array_api extra, and work much like the existing strategies for NumPy.

The canonical version of these notes (with links) is on readthedocs.

Hypothesis for Python - version 6.20.1

This patch fixes issue #961, where calling "given()" inline on a bound method would fail to handle the "self" argument correctly.

The canonical version of these notes (with links) is on readthedocs.

Hypothesis for Python - version 6.20.0

This release allows "slices()" to generate "step=None", and fixes an off-by-one error where the "start" index could be equal to "size". This works fine for all Python sequences and Numpy arrays, but is undefined behaviour in the Array API standard (see pull request #3065).

The canonical version of these notes (with links) is on readthedocs.

Hypothesis for Python - version 6.19.0

This release makes stateful testing more likely to tell you if you do something unexpected and unsupported:

    • The "return_value" health check now applies to "rule()" and "initialize()" rules, if they don't have "target" bundles, as well as "invariant()".

    • Using a "consumes()" bundle as a "target" is deprecated, and will be an error in a future version.

If existing code triggers these new checks, check for related bugs and misunderstandings - these patterns never had any effect.

The canonical version of these notes (with links) is on readthedocs.

Hypothesis for Python - version 6.18.0

This release teaches "from_type()" a neat trick: when resolving an "typing.Annotated" type, if one of the annotations is a strategy object we use that as the inferred strategy. For example:

    PositiveInt = Annotated[int, st.integers(min_value=1)]

If there are multiple strategies, we use the last outer-most annotation. See issue #2978 and pull request #3082 for discussion.

Requires Python 3.9 or later for "get_type_hints(...,

    Behavior Change

A bunch of Playwright APIs already support the wait_until: "domcontentloaded" option. For example:

    page.goto("https://playwright.dev", wait_until="domcontentloaded")

Prior to 1.26, this would wait for all iframes to fire the DOMContentLoaded event.

To align with web specification, the 'domcontentloaded' value only waits for the target frame to fire the 'DOMContentLoaded' event. Use wait_until="load" to wait for all iframes.

    build(deps): bump importlib-metadata from 4.11.2 to 4.13.0

    Bumps importlib-metadata from 4.11.2 to 4.13.0.

    Changelog

    Sourced from importlib-metadata's changelog.

    v4.13.0

    • #396: Added compatibility for PathDistributions originating from Python 3.8 and 3.9.

    v4.12.0

    • py-93259: Now raise ValueError when None or an empty string are passed to Distribution.from_name (and other callers).

    v4.11.4

    • #379: In PathDistribution._name_from_stem, avoid including parts of the extension in the result.
    • #381: In PathDistribution._normalized_name, ensure names loaded from the stem of the filename are also normalized, ensuring duplicate entry points by packages varying only by non-normalized name are hidden.

    v4.11.3

    • #372: Removed cast of path items in FastPath, not needed.

    build(deps-dev): bump pytest from 7.0.1 to 7.2.0

Bumps pytest from 7.0.1 to 7.2.0.

    Release notes

    Sourced from pytest's releases.

    7.2.0

    pytest 7.2.0 (2022-10-23)

    Deprecations

    • #10012: Update pytest.PytestUnhandledCoroutineWarning{.interpreted-text role="class"} to a deprecation; it will raise an error in pytest 8.

    • #10396: pytest no longer depends on the py library. pytest provides a vendored copy of py.error and py.path modules but will use the py library if it is installed. If you need other py.* modules, continue to install the deprecated py library separately, otherwise it can usually be removed as a dependency.

    • #4562: Deprecate configuring hook specs/impls using attributes/marks.

Instead use :pypytest.hookimpl{.interpreted-text role="func"} and :pypytest.hookspec{.interpreted-text role="func"}. For more details, see the docs <legacy-path-hooks-deprecated>{.interpreted-text role="ref"}.

    • #9886: The functionality for running tests written for nose has been officially deprecated.

      This includes:

      • Plain setup and teardown functions and methods: this might catch users by surprise, as setup() and teardown() are not pytest idioms, but part of the nose support.
      • Setup/teardown using the @with_setup decorator.

For more details, consult the deprecation docs <nose-deprecation>{.interpreted-text role="ref"}.

    Features

    • #9897: Added shell-style wildcard support to testpaths.

    Improvements

    • #10218: @pytest.mark.parametrize() (and similar functions) now accepts any Sequence[str] for the argument names, instead of just list[str] and tuple[str, ...].

(Note that str, which is itself a Sequence[str], is still treated as a comma-delimited name list, as before).

    • #10381: The --no-showlocals flag has been added. This can be passed directly to tests to override --showlocals declared through addopts.

    • #3426: Assertion failures with strings in NFC and NFD forms that normalize to the same string now have a dedicated error message detailing the issue, and their utf-8 representation is expresed instead.

    • #7337: A warning is now emitted if a test function returns something other than [None]{.title-ref}. This prevents a common mistake among beginners that expect that returning a [bool]{.title-ref} (for example [return foo(a, b) == result]{.title-ref}) would cause a test to pass or fail, instead of using [assert]{.title-ref}.

    • #8508: Introduce multiline display for warning matching via :pypytest.warns{.interpreted-text role="func"} and enhance match comparison for :py_pytest._code.ExceptionInfo.match{.interpreted-text role="func"} as returned by :pypytest.raises{.interpreted-text role="func"}.

    • #8646: Improve :pypytest.raises{.interpreted-text role="func"}. Previously passing an empty tuple would give a confusing error. We now raise immediately with a more helpful message.

    • #9741: On Python 3.11, use the standard library's tomllib{.interpreted-text role="mod"} to parse TOML.

tomli{.interpreted-text role="mod"}` is no longer a dependency on Python 3.11.

    • #9742: Display assertion message without escaped newline characters with -vv.

    • #9823: Improved error message that is shown when no collector is found for a given file.

    ... (truncated)
