WMware Tools installation failed segmentation fault solution

When using the normal method to install WMware Tools (that is, load the WMware Tools CD, extract the installation package, and then install the program), the following error will occur;

segmentation error

No screenshots, but this error will pop up halfway through the installer, and subsequent installers will show skip installation.In the end, although the end display is still enjoy, the function of copying and pasting and stretching the screen is not realized at all

I checked and the problem is caused by the incompatibility between the installed WMware Tools and ubuntu version.Therefore, instead of the installation package provided by the software, download it yourself:

sudo apt install open-vm-tools

This tool implements display-driven, screen adaptive

sudo apt install open-vm-tools-desktop

This tool implements copy and paste with the host, drag and drop files

Restart the virtual machine after the installation is complete

General online tutorials are over here, but for me, only window adaptation, text copying and pasting, and dragging files can't be achieved

Solution:
1 Install the following two programs

sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-prefs
sudo apt install nemo

2 Turn off Desktop icons NG in extensions

3 Add the Nemo Desktop program in the startup application preference

Restart, and then drag and drop the file function is also realized
