1. Problem analysis ：

Galaxy Kirin desktop operating system V10 Support users to add fonts , Users can obtain from any channel ttf Font file and install it into kylin system , But in this version of the system （ kirin V10）,ttf Format font file is not associated with default application （ Font viewer ）, So there are double clicks ttf The font file does not support opening the file . This document aims at the font installation problems at this stage , from The Kirin system is introduced in two aspects: how to associate the font viewer for graphical font installation and how to copy to the directory where the system font is located through commands V10 Font installation skills .

2. Solution

This document is for kylin V10 Loongson version （1026） Make , Other versions can be used for reference .

2.1、 Install through the font viewer .

  1) Download the required Fonts （ Font requirements .ttf or .TTF Format ）.

  2) If the application has been associated （ Font viewer ）, You can double-click or right-click the to be installed .ttf Select font file to open and install with font viewer .

  3) If no application is associated （ Font viewer ）, namely There is no... In the right-click menu opened with other applications “ Open with the font viewer ” Options , You need to manually associate this application （ The association operation only needs to be done once , After that, you can double-click to open the font file and install it ）, The association method is as follows ：

  The right choice “ Use another program to open ”.

    As shown in the following figure, select the custom command , Enter... In the box “gnome-font-viewer”, And check the “ Remember to open TrueType The font type is the program used ”

notes ： The custom command is used because the programs listed here in this version of the system do not have a font viewer , If there is , You can choose .

  choice “ open ” The back interface is shown in the figure below , Click on the top right corner “ install ”, Waiting a few seconds will turn into “ already installed ”.（ notes ： If the installation fails , Don't worry about , Just a few seconds , Or click again ）

   

4、 Font installation completed , Restart the computer to take effect .

2.2、 Copy the font to the system folder （ Suitable for batch installation of fonts ）

1. Download the required Fonts （ Font requirements .ttf or .TTF Format ）.

2. Right click in the blank space of the folder where the font file is located , choice “ Open in the terminal “.

3. Input “sudo  cp   *.ttf   *.TTF   usr/share/fonts/ ” When you're done typing , Press enter key , Just enter the password .（ Be careful ： The password will not be displayed , The password is usually the boot password , When you're done typing , Press enter Press the key ）

4、 Font installation completed , Restart the computer to take effect .
