• another : 指同类的另一个（≥3者）；可作，【代词】【形容词】；
• other：指 “其他的”；可作【形容词】；

1> show me another

The printer is beyond my budget. Please show me another.
这款打印机超出了我的预算。请给我看其他的。

• show sb sth, sth宾语；
• another 作【代词】；

2> for another three years

We are going to stay here for another three years.
我们将在这里再留三年。

• 第2个三年；同种类，用another；

3> other things

I have other things to do.
我还有其他的事情要做。

4> 其他的：other / the other / others / the others

• other : 【形容词】；
• the other ： 【形容词】【代词】；
• others：【代词】【名词】；
• the others【代词】；

4.1> some other boy

If you can’t help me, then I will ask some other boy.
你如果不能帮忙，我就去请别的男孩帮忙。

• some : 某个；
• 有some修饰，不能用another；another ，有个冠词an；
  冠词， 所有格，指示代词，不定代词不能同时放到名词前；【双重所有格】

• 总数量为2时，另一个用，the other, the指定；
• another : 指同类的另一个（≥3者）；可作，【代词】【形容词】；
