UE4 remove the mask transparent white edge in the material

Sometimes you need to use Mask Make models of barbed wire mesh with materials .

Depending on the resources , Sometimes the transparent channel of model mapping is not standard , There will be a certain amount of “ White border ”. Here's the picture

There's another way , You can modify it directly in the material .

As shown in the figure below , Set transparent channel x 0~1 The numerical , The connection is transparent .

The principle is due to UE4 The material Opacity Mask Get a value of , black , White two colors .

The closer the value is. 0（ All black ）, Then remove , near 1 Value left .

In the original picture , Because the color of the middle layer is dark gray （ near 0）, The inner layer is light gray （ near 1）. Therefore, the value is masked with dark gray .

After modification , multiply 0.4. The outer dark grey is closer to 0, The inner layer turns dark grey , At this time, mask with dark gray , This is the effect of removing white edges .
