Apache is a world-renowned open source foundation that has made great contributions to the development of the global open source movement.

In the early days of Internet development, I paid attention to the competition between the Web server provided by Apache and the IIS server provided by Microsoft. At that time, I made statistics for many years.50 to 70%, while Microsoft's server share is only 20 to 40%.Among the many key software in the world, there is open source software developed by Apache. More than 10 years ago, when open source software has become the mainstream of global software, Apache has made great contributions.When Android was born, its founder Andy Rubin believed that Android was developed based on Apache.

Apache is also a close friend of COPU: Apache co-founder Brian Behlendorf, several Apache chairmen Justin Erenkrantz, and Brett Porter have all applied to serve as senior consultants of the COPU think tank, and work with us to build China's open source highland (innovation highland, technology highland), Talent Heights).The current chairman of the Apache Software Foundation, David Nalley, was recently invited to participate in the "17th Open Source China Open Source World Summit Forum" held this year, and made a report at the meeting.Many COPU members or young Chinese open source talents actively participate in the development of Apache, grow with the help of Apache, and contribute to the Chinese and global open source movement!
