Public chains challenging the "Impossible Triangle"

Of course, the quest to solve the impossible triangular puzzle through a chain is not without results.Among them, the public chain of the Meta series has made a good breakthrough.The Meta public chain mentioned here refers to a group of technicians separated from the digital payment system Libra (later renamed Diem) that Meta plans to build after being blocked under regulatory pressure, using the foundation of Diem to build a group of techniciansPublic chains, including several emerging public chains such as Aptos, Sui and Linera.
Aptos
This is a new public chain built in February this year, but it was created by Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching, former engineers who were deeply involved in the development of the Meta encrypted wallet.Once established, it has received up to 200 million US dollars in financing from several top investment institutions including a16z.
Aptos takes security, scalability, and upgradeability very seriously, and has put a lot of thought into this.It uses Move, which is different from Solidity, the mainstream development language of public chains in the market today.According to Aptos, the use of smart contracts written in the Move language can enable the code to check for many loopholes and errors at compile time, greatly improving the security and reliability of the chain.

Unlike Ethereum, Aptos does not use Layer2 to improve performance, but directly considers the issue of "scalability" in the underlying design of Layer1.According to the Aptos testnet data, the optimized Aptos can process more than 10,000 transactions per second. According to the introduction of Aptos, in an ideal operating environment, it can process 160,000 transactions per second.
On the other hand, Aptos manages and configures block verifiers directly on the chain, enabling it to be quickly upgraded after the community votes, solving most of the problems in today’sThe problem with the difficulty of making major upgrades to the protocol after the blockchain is launched.In actual operation, Aptos has been upgraded several times since its establishment without any problems, which fully reflects the excellent performance of this design.
Sui
Sui's founder also participated in the development of Meta's encrypted wallet and Diem and other projects.In terms of development language, Sui, like Aptos, adopts the Move language in order to have the characteristics of high throughput, low latency, and scalability.At the same time, Sui has also upgraded and adjusted Move so that it can simultaneously write smart contracts related to homogeneous and non-homogeneous digital assets.
Sui utilizes transaction parallelization to enable the network to process multiple transactions at the same time, thereby improving the operating efficiency and scalability of the network.

Linera
Linera is a conceptual project that was officially released in June this year, and there is currently no specific product.But it can also be seen from the concept it proposes that it is also trying to solve the "impossible triangle" problem through a chain.
Linera proposes the concept of "linear scaling" to improve network performance, that is, using the number of hardware to increase system capacity, allowing different user accounts to run simultaneously in different execution threads, therebyGreatly improved network performance.
