Dell server restart Idrac method

1. Use web Interface

Use “ The server ”->“ Quick start task ” Under the “ reset iDRAC” Link to iDRAC restart .

2. Use ipmitool Tool cold restart

# ipmitool mc reset cold
or
# ipmitool raw 0x06 0x02

If you use a network remote to perform IPMI command （ Add parameters -H BMCip -U username -P password ）, Need to be on the server “iDRAC Set up ”->“ The Internet ”->“IPMI Set up ” in , On the hook “ Enable LAN Upper IPMI”.

If executed on the network IPMI Times the following mistakes , You need to add -l lanplus Parameters to solve ）.
Get Session Challenge command failed
Error: Unable to establish LAN session
Error: Unable to establish IPMI v1.5 / RMCP session

# ipmitool -H BMCip -U root -P calvin -I lanplus lan print

No -I Options run ipmitool when ,ipmitool By default open, namely Linux OpenIPMI,lanplus yes lan Enhanced Edition , among lan Corresponding ipmi 1.5 edition ,lanplus Corresponding ipmi 2.0 edition .

Check the server's IPMI edition ：
