和诊断描述文件CDD一样，PDX/ODX-D文件中也支持多variant变体，见下图。因不同场景（开发阶段，售后阶段，专家模式…）的需要，不同variant变体之间多包含诊断信息（支持的UDS/OBD诊断服务，支持的Sub-Function…）存在不小的差异。
