Introduction to DSPE-PEG-CHO:
DSPE-PEG-aldehyde is a reactive phospholipid PEG derivative that reacts with the N-terminal amine group.DSPE (1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine) is a highly hydrophobic 18-carbon phospholipid.On the other hand, the PEG backbone has good hydrophilicity.DSPE-PEG-aldehyde is a reactive lipid PEG with good reactivity towards amine, oxyamine or hydrazide groups.
Aldehyde and N - terminal amino reaction to form schiff base in the middle. Further by hydride reduction to form stable C - N key. DSPE - PEG - aldehyde allow DSPE - PEG under acid condition with amine or hydrazide conjugate base, hasa good selectivity. Higher pH value will lead to many times with polyethylene amino glycol (peg).
DSPE-PEG-Aldehyde Details:
