Altaro virtual machine replication failed: "unsupported file type vmgs"

problem

Unsupported file type detected in virtual machine to be replicated vmgs（ Error code “VMREPLICATIONSOURCEMANAGER_005）

Please delete the file from the virtual machine configuration , So that replication can be performed reason

Attach to VM Of VMGS/VFD Files are not currently supported for replication purposes .

Solution

If your virtual machine is connected VFD（ Virtual floppy drive ）, Please take it from Hyper-V Delete in the configuration of manager . Then try copying again .

at present ,.VMGS（ Store virtual machine guest status ,VM edition 8.2） Not supported for replication purposes , But it will be supported in the coming weeks .
