Amogene Worthington Elastase:
Pancreatic elastase is a serine protease with specificity for peptide bonds adjacent to neutral amino acids.It also exhibits esterase and amidase activity.Although elastase hydrolyzes a variety of protein substrates, it is unique among proteases in that it hydrolyzes native elastin, a substrate that is not attacked by trypsin, chymotrypsin, or pepsin.It is produced in the pancreas as an inactive zymogen, pro-elastase, and activated by trypsin in the duodenum.Elastase is also present in blood components and bacteria.
Because the highest concentrations of elastin are found in elastic fibers of connective tissue, elastase is often used to dissociate tissues containing a large network of intercellular fibers.For this, it is often used with other enzymes such as collagenase, trypsin and chymotrypsin.Elastase is the recommended enzyme for the isolation of type II cells from the lung.

Amigen Worthington Hyaluronidase:
Hyaluronidase is a polysaccharidase specific for the endo-N-acetylhexosaminic bond between 2-acetoamido-2-deoxy-beta-D-glucose and D-glucuronate.These bonds are common in hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfates A and C.Since these substances are present in high concentrations in the stroma of almost all connective tissues, hyaluronidases are often used for tissue dissociation, often in combination with crude proteases, eg as collagenases.
