Iterm tab switching order

problem :
A weird issue that comes up every once in a while when I have a lot of terminal tabs open and am switching between them via the keyboard is that the tabs get out of order. When I open many terminal tabs and switch between them through the keyboard , Every once in a while, there will be a strange problem that the tabs are out of order .Normally iTerm will activate/focus the next tab to the right or the left, but sometimes I manage to screw this tab focus order up and it will jump over several before switching back to the next proper in the list of tabs. Usually iTerm Will activate / Focus on the next tab on the right or left , But sometimes I try to confuse the focus order of this tab , It will skip a few , Then switch back to the next appropriate position in the tab list .
So when I use the keyboard to switch between tabs using Command-left_arrow or Command-right_arrow and the tabs are out of order they may end up jumping back and forth down the line of tabs. therefore , When I use the keyboard Command-left_arrow or Command-right_arrow When switching between tabs , If the tabs are out of order , They may eventually bounce back and forth on the tab line .I've yet to figure out how I get them out of this order in the first place. I haven't figured out how I got them out of this order first .
Is there a way to fix this other than quitting iTerm and restarting? Except exit iTerm And restart , Is there any other way to solve this problem ?How do I do this in the first place? First, what should I do ?
