Search area

To be in Postman Mid search , Please select Search Postman , Then enter your search term . You can also use keyboard shortcuts ⌘+K or Ctrl+K. To change the search scope to your personal or team space or public API The Internet , Please select all Postman And select the desired range . You can also change the search scope to Workspaces、Collections、APIs or Teams.

By element type , Search results contain different information ：

• For the workspace , Search results contain workspace types 、 Abstract 、 Publisher and release time .
• about collections, Search results contain workspace types 、 Whether the set is fork 、 Publisher and release time .
• about APIs, Search results contain API Name and summary of 、API Owner （ Individual users or teams ） And the type of workspace .
• about team, The search results contain the name and summary of the team . Selecting the team name will redirect you to the team Profile .

Tabs enable you to organize your work , The right sidebar gives you access to element specific tools , Such as documents , Environment selector and environment quick view enable you to manage variables .

Open a new label

To open a new tab , Please select +

If you open a request without editing or sending it , Then open another request , The second tab will replace the first tab . When the label is in preview mode , It is shown in italics .

You can set Postman Whether to open the request in the new tab . Select the settings Icon To open the settings . On request , Select always open request in new tab to turn this option on or off .

Save or discard changes
If the tab has unsaved changes ,Postman A dot appears next to the tab name . choice Save to save changes . To close a tab and discard changes , Please select , Then choose not to save .

View conflicts
If you or a collaborator changes its content in another tab or workspace , This tab will alert you to conflicts

Management tab

You can open multiple tabs at the same time . To rearrange the open tabs , Please select and drag them in the desired order .

To manage your open tabs or access recently closed tabs , Please select more action icons More action icons To open the menu containing operation options ：

• Recently closed tabs - Show the tabs you recently closed . Select one to reopen it .
• Copy the selected tab - （ Desktop applications only ） Copy the current tab . This does not create a copy of the request , So when you copy tabs , Any edits you make will be reflected in the original request .
• Close the selected tab - Close current tab . If the tab has unsaved changes , The postman will ask you whether you want to save it before closing .
• Force the selected tab to close - Close the current tab without saving any changes .
• Close all tabs except the selected tab - Close all tabs except those you are currently using .
• Close all tabs - Close all tabs . If any tab contains unsaved changes , The postman will ask you whether you want to save it before closing .
• Force all tabs to close - Close all tabs without saving any changes .

Right side sidebar

Environment selector and environment quick view
