本方法的项目用来测定使用在铁路运输工具框架中的钢性材料，如合板、木纤维板、硬纸板、模压板和玻璃/聚酯压板等的防火性。本方法的项目也可以应用于由几种材料合成的隔断墙（例如合板及模压板）。不能应用于热塑性的材料

样品的下侧与水平平面成45度角倾斜，暴露于燃烧的酒精火焰上。在样品在酒精火焰熄灭后继续燃烧的时间里，要记录燃烧落下物和颗粒以及破坏的程度

UIC564-2 附录4 –阻燃防火测试:火焰的扩散—结论

记录样品以下行为：

—在酒精火焰熄灭后继续燃烧和发光的时间的长度；

—火焰破坏的表面积，用cm2表示；

—燃烧颗粒和落下物的释放；

—是否样品燃烧至上部边缘
