Huang Kaibin:
He received his BA and MA with First Class Honours from the National University of Singapore and his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin.He is currently a full professor and associate head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.He currently serves on the executive editorial board of IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communication and the regional editor of IEEE Green Communication and Networking.Professor Huang has won the second prize of the 2018 Ministry of Education's Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award for Higher Education Institutions, the second prize of Natural Science, the 2021 Best Survey Paper Award of the IEEE Communications Society, the 2019 Best Tutorial Paper Award, the 2015 Asia Pacific Best Paper Award, 2019Asia-Pacific Outstanding Paper Award, Outstanding Teaching Award of Yonsei University, South Korea.He has published more than 90 papers in IEEE journals and holds 14 granted patents.He is the recipient of the Research Fellowship Award from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council in 2021.His work in the radio field has been cited more than 15,000 times.He was named a Highly Cited Scientist by Clarivate Analytics in 2019-2021 and was selected as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer in 2020.Prof. Huang was elected as an IEEE Fellow in 2021 for his outstanding contributions to multi-antenna technology and wireless power propagation.

6G, AI, and The Matrix

The Matrix is a 1999 Hollywood science fiction film.The film tells the story of a network hacker "Neo" who discovered that the seemingly normal real world was actually controlled by a computer artificial intelligence system called "Matrix", so he joined the hacker organization to fight against the "Matrix" journey.s story .The film is famous for its computer effects such as virtual reality, bullet time, and smart downloads, and has achieved high box office worldwide.In our real world, while fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks are being deployed, research into 6G has already begun.6G is envisioned with features such as AI-native, virtual reality, and haptic communication.In this lecture, I will introduce some virtual scenes in The Matrix.To this end, I will specifically introduce three emerging 6G technologies, namely in-situ AI download, tactile neuromorphic computing, and aerial machine learning, and use them to realize the superpowers of "The Matrix" virtual reality and the hacker "Neo".
