RIP:Routing Information Protocol( Routing information protocol )

  • RIP It's based on Distance vector Routing protocol of the algorithm
  • Slow convergence , Suitable for small and medium-sized networks
  • be based on UDP transmission , Port number 520
  • Most support 15 jump ,16 Jumping means unreachable

The number of hops of the directly connected network defaults to 0

OSPF:Open Shortest Path First( Open shortest path first )

  • OSPF Is based on Link state Algorithm and Internal gateway Protocol routing protocol
  • OSPF Only propagate the routing information that the peer device does not have , Convergence is rapid
  • OSPF Work directly on IP Layer above ,IP The agreement number is 89
  • Send the protocol packet with multicast address

Link state : Describe the router interface and its neighbor router relationship , All link state information constitutes the link state database

Roueter ID: Uniquely identify one that allows OSPF The router , Each run OSPF All routers have one Router ID

OSPF and RIP V2 All support VLSM

RIP Basic configuration

R1 Basic configuration

R2 Basic configuration

R3 Basic configuration

Single area OSPF Basic configuration

The basic configuration command of the router on the left

The basic configuration command of the router on the right

show ip ospf neighbor      # Check neighborhood relationships
