Ubantu disk expansion (VMware)

Premise ： When using virtual machines , We sometimes take snapshots , But there are snapshots , Unable to expand disk , If snapshots are important , Just clone the virtual machine , Expand the disk capacity on the new virtual machine , conversely , Capacity expansion after deleting snapshots .
1. Expand to the memory size you want .

2. Enter virtual machine , Open the terminal .
（1） Input ：sudo apt-get install gparted download gparted.
(2) Input after downloading ：sudo gparted Start the program .

3. After entering the program , Delete all partitions between keys and unassigned , Only as shown in the figure ：

4. Right click the partition with key , Click resize / Move （R）, Then Ann looks for the picture content and fills in the numbers （ After that, the available space is modified to 1024 reserve 1G Space is used to create extended partitions and logical partitions ）：

5. Check unassigned , Then click New , Analogy to 6 Operation of pictures in , Change the creation to extended partition , File system after selecting extended partition , Will automatically modify , There is no need to modify .
6. Check unassigned , Then click New , Modify according to the content of the picture （ The file system needs to be selected by itself ）.
7. After the above operations are completed , Follow the figure below ：

8. Then you will enter such a page .

9. to update UUID value （ Follow the picture to do this ）：


Console input ：sudo gedit /etc/fstab Put inside UUID Change to the one above UUID.

10. Exit after saving , Input at the console df -h , You can check whether the expansion is successful .
